WICHITALK READS

Pretty much everything I read in the last few years is here. Mostly literary fiction. I like books about alienated academics, weird girls, queer people, heists, books about where I'm at, the starting line of adulthood. I like books with nighttime language, books that send knockout punches on a sentance level. I like essay collections, and history books that read like novels with 100 pages of citations attached.

I write reviews for my books now, and they're sorted by year. In 2023 I stuck with the star system, which I found meaningless outside of the extremes. Now I'm trying to figure out why I like something, or even better, why I hate a book. Haley Larson knows what I mean.
